Human Traditions Hinders The Holy Spirit & Faith
We must be very careful on how we use Tradition.
Tradition should be use according to Jesus requirements and not implement
by Human Traditions. Human Traditions will Hinders a person or the bodies
of Christ Jesus in the church.
Human Tradition
does hinder the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church and the Faith of its people. Like the letter that kills and hinders the work of God.
“Such is the reliance and
confidence that we have through Christ toward and with reference to God. Not
that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form
personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from
us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.
[It
is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as
ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through
Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of
the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive. 2
Corinthians 3:4-6 Amplified Bible (AMP)”
1.
Then some Pharisees and teachers of
the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, “Why do your
disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t
wash their hands before they eat!”
2.
Jesus replied, “And why do you
break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
3.
For God said, ‘Honor your father and
mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to
death.’ But you say that if a man says to his father or
mother,
4.
‘Whatever help you might otherwise
have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’ he is not to ‘honor his
father’ with it.
5.
Thus you
nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
6.
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: ‘These
people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from
me.
7.
They worship me
in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men. ’ ”Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and
understand. What goes into a man’s mouth does not make him
‘unclean,’ but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes
him ‘unclean.’” Matthew 15:1-10 NIV
