Tu Gracia Me Ha Sostenido/Your Grace Has Sustained Me 2012

Good Perfect Gift is From God

Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. James 1:16-18

Give proper liberty and create sufficient opportunities for the Spirit to manifest Himself in the settings that are specifically intended to welcome renewal ministry and its attending activity. Of course, God may Himself break into any gathering with His manifest presence without human mediation. Model and teach proper restraints, and seek to be sensitive to the specific situation and context. What does love look like or require in this particular setting? Seek to submit to those in authority for the sake of peace and unity. Mistakes in discernment are bound to happen in the midst of renewal when the heightened fear of both missing God and being deceived are present. Encourage people to appeal to leaders in private if they disagree with the direction the leaders have given or are giving to the body.
{ PRAYER STARTER }

Father, in all my work and service, in every part of my life, cause me to discern accurately and fully what You are doing and what You want me to reveal to others. Don't allow me to "miss" Your revelation or to cause another to be deceived.
Mistakes in discernment are bound to happen
in the midst of renewal when the heightened
fear of both missing God and
being deceived are present.

Walk In The Light of God

Wallpaper Jesus light of the WorldI pray that you will walk in the Light of Jesus the Christ today.

In the beginning the Word already existed.  The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He existed in the beginning with God.  God created everything through him,  and nothing was created except through him.   The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.  The light shines in the darkness,  and the darkness can never extinguish it. God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.  John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light.  The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
Jesus Christ names small
This was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Temple assistants from Jerusalem to ask John, “Who are you?”  He came right out and said, “I am not the Messiah.”   “Well then, who are you?” they asked. “Are you Elijah?”  No,” he replied.  “Are you the Prophet we are expecting?” “No.”   “Then who are you? We need an answer for those who sent us. What do you have to say about yourself?”  John replied in the words of the prophet Isaiah:  I am a voice shouting in the wilderness, Clear the way for the Lord’s coming!’”   Then the Pharisees who had been sent  asked him, “If you aren’t the Messiah or Elijah or the Prophet, what right do you have to baptize?”

Add caption
John told them, “I baptize with water, but right here in the crowd is someone you do not recognize.  Though his ministry follows mine, I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandal.”   This encounter took place in Bethany, an area east of the Jordan River, where John was baptizing. No.2 The True Light of the World -Jesus

Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. Luke 2:28-31

Simeon, a minister in the temple, was promised he would see the Messiah before he died. As was the custom, after eight days Mary and Joseph took the baby Jesus to the temple to consecrate Him to the Lord. (Luke 2:21-23).

Scripture tells us three times in these verses the Holy Spirit revealed the Christ to Simeon (vv. 25-27). When he saw the child, he declared the eternal significance of Christ's birth: His salvation is for "all peoples," both Jews and Gentiles. Christ fulfilled Simeon's prophecy when He later ordered His apostles to preach the gospel to all nations—making Himself a light of revelation to the Gentiles. When He added, "beginning at Jerusalem," He made Himself the "glory of his people Israel."

Are you ready for the Messiah? Have you lived your life in expectancy for His appearing? How is Jesus using your life to burn brightly in the world with His good works?

Jesus, make me a light to others. Light of the word,
kindle in me a flame of zeal and faith that
will lead others to You. Amen.

No. 5 Brotherly Kindness And To Brotherly Kindness Love

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. —2 Peter 1:5-7

Goodness. We need to genuinely care for the needs of others and, therefore, we should seek to be willing to show that care to them in practical ways on the heels of praying for them. We may not have the resources ourselves, but maybe we know others who might, to whom we can direct them. We must seek to break the cycles of injustice in people's lives rather than perpetuate them, especially in the name of serving the Lord. Also, we must never take advantage of the sacred trust that others are giving us when they make themselves vulnerable by allowing us to pray for them. Evil things, behind the guise of ministry, have been perpetrated on vulnerable people before in the history of Christianity. Let us make sure that we don't add to the list.

{ PRAYER STARTER }

Father, there is so much injustice in our world today. Help me to show Your goodness and to handle carefully the sacred trust You have placed in me to lead others by Your goodness to Your loving Son's salvation.

We must seek to break the cycles of injustice in
people's lives rather than perpetuate them,
especially in the name of serving the Lord.

Overcome Evil With Good

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. —Ephesians 2:6-7

Kindness. We will often be praying for people whose lives have been wrecked by sin. Many haven't been taught social skills, and they have unlovely characteristics about them. Many have embraced wrong teachings and even are oppressed by demons. We must be braced to gracefully absorb some of their immaturity and deal kindly with their deception. We must overcome evil with good and be kind to those who are unkind to us. This honors the Lord and gives them the best chance to get His help.

{ PRAYER STARTER }

Make me a kind person, Spirit. Let me express the kindness of our loving heavenly Father. Help me to overcome the evil around and in me with the response of spiritual kindness.

We must overcome evil with good and
be kind to those who are unkind to us.

Jesus' Birthday- Not Your Birthday

When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Matthew 2:3

Every year the advent of the Christmas season heralds the reminders of what Jesus came to free us from. Greedy merchants vie for our time and our money. Church pews empty as shopping malls fill. Picketers are set in place before nativity scenes in public squares, demanding their rights and denying ours.

Herod greedily welcomed the wise men, expecting a new avenue of commerce to advance his realm; but he grew troubled when he learned of their true mission.

The spirit of the world is troubled at Christmas time, as believers gather to honor and worship the KING. Do not allow the traditions of Christmas to turn into empty rituals. Let your birthday celebration be more than just a reminder of your faith. Let it testify to a dying world of the awesome sacrifice Jesus made. All the glory of heaven was His, yet He gave it up to come to earth for you and for me.

Herod could not surrender the throne of life to Jesus. He sought to destroy the true KING of life. Will you surrender the throne of Your life to Christ?

Jesus, rule and reign victoriously in my life.
Make of my life a winsome witness to the
world of Your love and grace. Amen.

Knowing God - Do You Know Him?

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. Hebrews 5:13, KJV

Solid food is nourishment by which the capacity of the soul is enlarged. Sooner or later, a newborn baby must go from milk to something solid; if that does not happen, there will be a deformed child. It is the same with the analogy here.

What do I mean when I say solid food is nourishment by which the capacity of the soul is enlarged? The soul's enlargement will mean simple trust in God, unfeigned love for one another, and the ability to understand what God is pleased to reveal. Now by simple trust in God, I would remind you of 1 John 4:16: "We know and rely on the love God has for us." That verse has gripped me for years. But it involves simple trust, simply taking seriously that God really does love us. When one really believes it, it changes everything. The ability to digest solid food is the enlargement of the soul, where you become able, simply in a childlike way, to trust in God. Jesus said, "Anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it" (Mark 10:15). Christians need to rediscover this simple trust in God, which is the soul's enlargement.

I am referring to the ability to perceive God's will. That has to do with aptitude to receive what God wants to say. It is understanding His Word, and it is knowing His direction for today. It is His Word and His will.

Understanding His Word is simply being able to read the Bible and know what it means, that God speaks to you. Maturity includes seeing His will. By this I mean that you know God so well that you know what He is thinking. It's the same with my wife: I do not have to tell her or ask her what she thinks; I already know. When you know God, you know His will. http://www.charismamag.com/index.php/blogs/rt-kendall/25684-enlarging-the-souls-capacity

The Beatbox Nativity-The Nativity Factor

The Birth of Jesus
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.  (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)  And everyone went to their own town to register.  So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.  He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.  While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest heaven,  and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.
Jesus Presented in the Temple
When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”]), and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.” Luke 2:1-24 NIV

The Magnificat Mary’s Song of Praise

Luke 1:47-55
New Living Translation

How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!   For he took notice of his lowly servant girl,  and from now on all generations will call me blessed.  For the Mighty One is holy,  and he has done great things for me.  He shows mercy from generation to generation  to all who fear him.  His mighty arm has done tremendous things! He has scattered the proud and haughty ones. He has brought down princes from their thrones  and exalted the humble.   He has filled the hungry with good things  and sent the rich away with empty hands.   He has helped his servant Israel  and remembered to be merciful.   For he made this promise to our ancestors,  to Abraham and his children forever.” Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back to her own home.

Commentary:
Mary's hymn expresses praise to God for his treatment of her, but then extends her praise to how God has treated the righteous throughout the ages and how he will vindicate them fully in the future. Understanding what God is doing, Mary possesses a mood of joy. She speaks for herself and for her community, the people of God throughout time. God is worthy of praise for what he will do in taking care of his own. Understanding God's blessing moves the believer to joy and appreciation, since the Almighty cares personally for us and acts on our behalf.

Mary is exemplary of the humble, faithful disciple. That a woman provides such an example is significant, since first-century culture often relegated women to a secondary status. Such examples exist in the Old Testament as well (Miriam in Ex 15:21; Hannah in 1 Sam 2:1-10; Deborah in Judg 5). One of the beauties of Luke's infancy material is that different sorts of people all experience joy at the arrival of Jesus. This reveals Jesus' universal appeal.Praise for God's Word to Mary (1:46-49)

Your Faith

Romans 16:25-27 (NIV)

Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,  but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith— to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! The House of God

When King David was settled in his palace and the Lord had given him rest from all the surrounding enemies, the king summoned Nathan the prophet. “Look,” David said, “I am living in a beautiful cedar palace,m but the Ark of God is out there in a tent!”

Nathan replied to the king, “Go ahead and do whatever you have in mind, for the Lord is with you.”  But that same night the Lord said to Nathan,  “Go and tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord has declared: Are you the one to build a house for me to live in?  I have never lived in a house, from the day I brought the Israelites out of Egypt until this very day. I have always moved from one place to another with a tent and a Tabernacle as my dwelling.  Yet no matter where I have gone with the Israelites, I have never once complained to Israel’s tribal leaders, the shepherds of my people Israel. I have never asked them, “Why haven’t you built me a beautiful cedar house?”’
“Now go and say to my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel.  I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth!  And I will provide a homeland for my people Israel, planting them in a secure place where they will never be disturbed. Evil nations won’t oppress them as they’ve done in the past,  starting from the time I appointed judges to rule my people Israel. And I will give you rest from all your enemies.

“‘Furthermore, the Lord declares that he will make a house for you—a dynasty of kings!  For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong.  He is the one who will build a house—a temple—for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever.  I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.  But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight.  Your house and your kingdom will continue before me for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.’”   So Nathan went back to David and told him everything the Lord had said in this vision.

Avoid Every Kind of Evil

Pray without CeasingMy prayer for you today "Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else" in Jesus name.

Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you.  Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.  And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.  Be joyful always;  pray continually;  give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  Do not put out the Spirit’s fire;  do not treat prophecies with contempt.  Test everything. Hold on to the good.  Avoid every kind of evil.
Zach and I After... +)
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

Restore Our Fortunes Lord God

"Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." Psalm 126:4-6

When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem,  it was like a dream!   We were filled with laughter,  and we sang for joy.   And the other nations said,  What amazing things the Lord has done for them.” Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us!  What joy!
Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy (Psalms 126-5)
Restore our fortunes, Lord,  as streams renew the desert.  Those who plant in tears  will harvest with shouts of joy.  They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.   Psalm 126 (NLT)

The Favor of Jesus the Christ

Isaiah 61 againPrayer: That you remember always the Love  God has  for you!

Isaiah 61

The Year of the LORD’s Favor
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,    because the LORD has anointed me  to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,  to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,  to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor  and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,  and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy  instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness,  a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.   They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;  they will renew the ruined cities  that have been devastated for generations.
Isaiah 61 T shirt

Strangers will shepherd your flocks;  foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.   And you will be called priests of the LORD,  you will be named ministers of our God.  You will feed on the wealth of nations,   and in their riches you will boast.  Instead of your shame  you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace   you will rejoice in your inheritance.  And so you will inherit a double portion in your land,   and everlasting joy will be yours.  “For I, the LORD, love justice;   I hate robbery and wrongdoing.   In my faithfulness I will reward my people  and make an everlasting covenant with them.
Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge  that they are a people the LORD has blessed.”  I delight greatly in the LORD;  my soul rejoices in my God.

Isaiah 61:11For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.   For as the soil makes the sprout come up  and a garden causes seeds to grow,  so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness   and praise spring up before all nations. A Time for Everything

I pray that as the year comes to an end that you will renew your relationship with the Living God.  I also pray if you have not received Jesus the Christ as your Lord and Savior, to say this prayer.  “Jesus come into my heart and forgive me for all of my sins.  I believe that you are the Son of the Living God.  I believe that you were born from a virgin birth. Jesus come into my heart Jesus.  Thank you God for forgiving me in Jesus Name! “    Amen!

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

The Throne in Heaven

Holy, Holy, Holy  Throne in Heaven
After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.  And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne.

Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads.  From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits[ of God.  Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.  The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.  Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:

‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.”

Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever,  the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

    A Little Baby Changed Everything

Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place under these circumstances: When His mother Mary had been promised in marriage to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant [through the power] of the Holy Spirit. And her [promised] husband Joseph, being a just and upright man and not willing to expose her publicly and to shame and disgrace her, decided to repudiate and dismiss (divorce) her quietly and secretly.

But as he was thinking this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary [as] your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of (from, out of) the Holy Spirit.

She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God]. All this took place that it might be fulfilled which the Lord had spoken through the prophet, Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel--which, when translated, means, God with us.

Then Joseph, being aroused from his sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him: he took [her to his side as] his wife. But he had no union with her as her husband until she had borne her firstborn Son; and he called His name Jesus. Matthew 1:18-25 AMP

    Do Not Worry

5 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:25-34

Advent 2nd Coming of Christ Jesus

Prayer:   Give us ears to hear, O God, and eyes to watch, that we may know your presence in our midst during this holy season of joy as we anticipate the coming of Jesus Christ. Amen.
" They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.  Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” Acts 1:10-11 NIV

The Greatest Gift To The World

    The Birth of Jesus

    Nativity

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.  (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)  And everyone went to his own town to register. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
     The Shepherds and the Angels
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,  and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”   When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”  So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.
