When a Nation Turns Its Back on God

I pray that we will put God back into our lives and country. God bless, His people
Thursday, May 26, 2011 (2 Chronicles 33:1-25)

Hezekiah was a god-fearing king who brought about reformation among the Israelites. His son Manasseh, however, was an evil ruler. He had watched his father walk with God and live according to Scripture. Yet he chose to ignore the Lord.
Manasseh worshipped false gods, even to the point of sacrificing his sons by fire in order to praise Molech. He practiced much evil—including witchcraft and sorcery— and led Israel astray, thereby provoking God to anger. The king, along with the people, paid a high price for his rebellion.

This story illustrates the Lord’s intolerance of a nation’s disregard toward Him. Now consider our country. We, too, are a nation that pushes God aside—one that has turned away from the only true God and embraced idols. Perhaps these aren’t statues of stone, but we worship money, sports ability, fame, and reputation, to name a few.
The United States of America was founded on biblical principles with the intent to guarantee freedom of worship. But over time, we have removed the Lord from many aspects of public life. Prayer in schools, for instance, was deemed unconstitutional. What was once a “nation under God” has turned into a country that tolerates a growing number of sins and yet belittles absolute truth.

If a nation turns its back on the Lord, His judgment is inevitable unless the people repent and make Him Lord once again. As believers, our responsibility is to pray that God would draw the heart of our country back to Himself—and to help the gospel and truth spread through our land. ( In Touch Ministries, Inc.)

If My People Would Pray and Humble Themselves onto God

Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected. And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.  If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.  And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;  Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.  But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.  And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?   And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.

Daniel's God Reveal Secret Thing

(God) Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.  Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:  And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:  He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. Daniel 2:19-23 KJV

God Did Not Invent Death

God did not invent Death, and   when living creatures die,  it gives Him no pleasure.  He created everything so that it might continue to exist.  An everything He created is wholesome and good.

There is no deadly poison in them. No,  death does not rule the world.  For God's justice does not die. When God created us He did not intend for us to die.  He made us like Himself.  It was the devil's jealousy that brought death into the world, and those who belonge to him are the ones who will die.  Wisdom 1:13-15, 2:23-24

Prayers:    The question:   Are your   jealousy    for   your brother or sister in Christ killing them? I pray that Jesus will come into your heart.  I also pray that you confess your sins to the Judge God that He will have mercy on you.

“When Pastors and Priests Prey- Breaks the Silence”

In an energetic book launch featuring Jamaican drummers and an Indian “Bollywood” dance lesson, the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) released a new publication seeking to break the silence on sexual abuse of women by clergy within the church.

The launch took place on Thursday at the World Council of Churches (WCC) sponsored International Ecumenical Peace Convocation (IEPC) being held in Kingston, Jamaica.

Titled “When Pastors and Priests Prey,” the book aims to raise awareness about identifying, preventing and overcoming clergy sexual abuse of women, according to Christine Housel, general secretary of the WSCF. “We hope that this effort will begin a cultural transformation within the worldwide church.”
The book, which was supported by the WCC Women in Church and Society project, offers insights from researchers, advocates and survivors. Also included is a speech by former President Jimmy Carter to the Parliament of the World Religions in which he states: “The truth is the male religious leaders have had – and still have – an option to interpret holy teachings either to exalt or subjugate women. They have, for their own selfish ends, overwhelmingly chosen the latter.”   Dr Fulata Lusungu Moyo, WCC programme executive for Women in Church and Society, called the compilation “a prophetic project.”

For many of the book's contributors, sharing their story became a form of therapy, said Moyo. “When we read their stories, we realize they have moved from being victims to survivors. They have become healers – wounded healers.”

One of the book's contributors described the manipulation her pastor used against her after sexually abusing her: “He taught that to follow Jesus Christ meant we must forgive each other every sin against us. He begged me for forgiveness. He blamed me for causing his temptation. I blamed myself and tried to avoid being attractive. Nothing worked.”

Clergy can help fight abuse
Even as the book's contributors detail painful stories of abuse, they also acknowledge the clergy themselves can help lead the battle against future sexual abuse by pastors and priests.
In her essay about clergy abusing women in Congo, Esther Lubunga Kenge writes that the abusive acts shrouded in secrecy must be brought into the light. “Those who were hiding behind the silence of victims should face the exposure of their actions to the public. Thank God not all clergymen are rapists,” she writes. “God has genuine shepherds of the flock ready to sacrifice their lives for the sheep.”

Dr Valli Batchelor, the project's coordinator, said that if the silence surrounding abuse is broken, only then will there be change.
“Victims are often so trapped in confusion, guilt and self-blame,” she said. “Women victims are likely to remain silent and, as a result, suffer severe depression and higher rates of suicide.”

Inviting women to talk about their trauma was an integral part of compiling the book, said Batchelor, who was born into a Hindu family and then baptized in the Christian faith.
As Batchelor invited IEPC participants at the book launch to dance, she told them she finds that physical movement helps people relax and release trauma. In the book, she writes: “I have found that the dance medium is both expressive of the emotional hurts and needs of violated women and children as well as being cathartic and liberating for the individual in participation in group dramatic dance.”
Batchelor believes that the collective global church community needs to face the fact that clergy abuse of women might be taking place in their own community, wherever that might be.

“Many people from churches say, 'Maybe it happens, but not in my church.' I'd like to challenge that.”
She said she'd like to see a cultural transformation within the worldwide church. “Sexual abuse is a violent use of power,” she said. “It is not an affair – because of that balance of power.”

Meeting for World Peace

Leaders around the World meet for Peace

As peace advocates from around the world relayed heartrending stories of violence and oppression, they also expressed their ongoing hope that a movement of peace will prevail during the proceedings of the second day of the International Ecumenical Peace Convocation (IEPC) being held in Kingston, Jamaica.
The advocates included religious leaders from the Middle East, India, Brazil and the USA addressed the issue of violence from the perspective and need for peace within communities and strengthening the dignity and rights of all.

“As a woman, I believe we cannot have justice in the community without having it first in the safe haven of our church," said Dr Muna Mushahwar, a medical doctor who is a Palestinian Christian from Jerusalem.
She is intimately acquainted with being at the receiving end of displacement, denial and oppression which hits women particularly hard. "The church has a huge role and must take responsibility.”  Dr Deborah Weissman, who also lives in Jerusalem and serves as president of the International Council of Christians and Jews broadened the issue beyond the church saying that some faith communities seize on “absolute truths” and leave no room for questioning authority.

“Throughout the world today, in the name of religion, atrocities have been committed. In many places, there is an unholy alliance between faith and extreme violence,” she said.

Violence does not take place in a vacuum, pointed out Prof. Ram Puniyani, a writer-activist known for his relentless struggle to uphold the secular ethos of India.

“Violence takes places because a large section of society is indoctrinated with a hatred for others. They basically aim to abolish the human rights of the weaker section of societies.”

Asha Kowtal, a Dalit activist and the leader of a female empowerment movement in India, also spoke about the role of peace in improving women's lives in her home country. “Today hundreds of young girls are sexually abused by the dominant caste men,” she said.

The caste system is considered by many to be the largest systemic human rights violation anywhere in the world today. “It results in discrimination and exclusion,” said Kowtal.

As people at the bottom are continually denied access to opportunities and resources, “they remain the poorest of poor, most unemployed, most hated and most vulnerable,” she said.  Discrimination causes violence  People in Brazil also face discrimination that causes violent conflict, said Dr Tania Mara Vieira Sampaio, a professor at the Catholic University of Brasilia.   “In Brazil, as in the rest of Latin America, to have access to a university is a privilege that only few people can afford,” she said. “Our struggle to overcome the sacrifice-driven logics of the market today and enable a more condign life for everybody also has implications on the formation of the younger generations.”

Martin Luther King III, of Atlanta, Georgia and eldest son of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., said churches need to do a better job of promoting peace in the community.
“Despite great progress, the 11 a.m. Sunday morning worship hour is still the most segregated hour of the day,” said King. “Today, as we all strive to affirm the dignity and rights of humankind, many tenacious forms of discrimination continue to undermine the basic respect for human rights.”

From a Christian perspective, the teachings of Jesus are deeply rooted in nonviolence, he said, but peace advocacy should be the responsibility of people from all spiritual traditions. “The teachings of Jesus are deeply rooted in nonviolence but I believe that all faiths can have a mandate for nonviolence in all of the holy scriptures.”   During the next several days the IEPC will also explore peace with the earth, peace in the marketplace and peace among peoples. The convocation, which is organized by the World Council of Churches, the Caribbean Conference of Churches and the Jamaica Council of Churches concludes on Tuesday, 24 May.

Jesus' Messager

Prayer: I pray that you hear what the Holy Spirit is saying:  I have sent my messager to you, but you have not listern. You have spoken lies.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.  I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. Revelation 22:13-16 KJV

God Forgive Us For Our Sins

Prayer: I pray that we All the People Around the world will get down on our knees and ask God in Jesus' Name to forgive us for ALL our Sins.  God is Love 1John 4:16

David Wilkersons Last words PROPHETIC 4-27-2011
The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance. 2Peter 3:9 AMP

‘He will rule them with an iron scepter;  he will dash them to pieces like pottery’—just as I have received authority from my Father.  I will also give him the morning star.  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.  Revelation 2:29 NIV

By Faith I Do Believe in Jesus Salvation Prayer

For Moses writes that the law’s way of making a person right with God requires obedience to all of its commands.  But faith’s way of getting right with God says, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will go up to heaven’ (to bring Christ down to earth).  And don’t say, ‘Who will go down to the place of the dead’ (to bring Christ back to life again).”  In fact, it says,  The message is very close at hand;  it is on your lips and in your heart.”

And that message is the very message about faith that we preach:  If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.  As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”  Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him.  For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?  And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”  But not everyone welcomes the Good News, for Isaiah the prophet said, “Lord, who has believed our message?”  So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.  But I ask, have the people of Israel actually heard the message? Yes, they have:  The message has gone throughout the earth,  and the words to all the world.”

But I ask, did the people of Israel really understand? Yes, they did, for even in the time of Moses, God said,
“I will rouse your jealousy through people who are not even a nation.  I will provoke your anger through the foolish Gentiles.” And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God, saying, “I was found by people who were not looking for me.  I showed myself to those who were not asking for me.” But regarding Israel, God said,
“All day long I opened my arms to them, but they were disobedient and rebellious.” Romans 10:5-21

Praise You Jesus- In The End -In Spanish

...a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. Proverb 31:30-31; And when he (King David) had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. And when they began to sing and to praise...2Chronicles 20:21KJV

Blood Shed Pollutes The Land

The first murderer (killer of human being) was Cain against his brother Able- in the beginning  "Thou shalt not kill. Exodus 20:13 KJV
Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them. 1John 3:15 NLT

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.  And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.   And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.   And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:  But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?  If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.  And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?  And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.   And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;  When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.  And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.  And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. Genesis 4:1-16 KJV

And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again. Genesis 37:22

If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:  That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee. Deuteronomy 19:10

“O earth, do not conceal my blood. Let it cry out on my behalf.   Even now my witness is in heaven.
My advocate is there on high. Job 16:18-19

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Revelation 6:9-11

Honor Your Mother

Honor your Father and Mother.  Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12 NLT

And the Lord said to Moses,  Say to Aaron and his sons, This is the way you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them,  The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;  The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;  The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
And they shall put My name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them. Numbers 6:22-27AMP

National Day of Prayers- Jesus Prayed for His Disciples

123tagged.Com These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:   As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.   I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.   And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.   I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.   Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
123tagged.ComFather, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.   And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.  I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.  And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.  And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.  And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.   I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.   And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:  I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Don't Hurt The Children

About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”
Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. 3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.  So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.    “And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me.  But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.

“What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting. So if your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one hand or one foot than to be thrown into eternal fire with both of your hands and feet.

And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.  “Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.

Parable of the Lost Sheep-“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost?   And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away!  In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.

Light of the World

...Matthew 5: 14-16. In the passages, Jesus teaches “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.“
How often do you feel like you are the “light of the world”? This earthly life can be full of nothing but pain and tragedy if you let it. Our own human weaknesses leads us down all kinds of paths that bring nothing but mental, physical, and spiritual pain.

Over and over again, we fall prey to thoughts of inadequacy, self hatred, shame, and loneliness to name just a few. I can speak knowledgeably about that having felt those emotions before, but take heart! There is a life worth living and loving meant for you…if you let it. Jesus is calling us to “let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
So how then, do we know that our light is shining for others? How do we lose these feelings that cover up our light? That can be a complicated answer, different for each individual. The “light” Jesus is talking about isn’t our own light, but a reflection of the radiant glory of God!

You may assume that a good place to start is by picking up a bible, but if you don’t have any idea of what to read or where to look for answers, that may not help as much as you’d like. Start by finding a group of people that might know exactly what you are going through… this is more commonly referred to as your local church That’s where you should take your Bible too and dive in.

Verse by verse, step by step, you can find help understanding God’s will through his own instruction manual! The local church is a building full of people that may not want to admit it, but they have gone through or are currently going through the same things you are. It’s a group that looks to serve God’s will by reaching out to others and learning God’s word. In other words, they are being the “light of the world”. That may not sound like the church you had in your mind but I promise it exists.
If you are walking down a path that leads to nowhere, or worse, leads to certain danger, wouldn’t you change course? If the paths you are walking down now only bring you pain, shouldn’t you change your patterns of behavior?
