PROTECTION FROM THE LORD GOD THE JUDGE

God said "Do not take advantage of a widow or an orphan. If you do and they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry. My anger will be aroused... Exodus 22:22-24 NIV

God however, has a special concern for the orphans and widows (Deut. 10:18; Psalm 10:14-18). In the Old Testament God speaks about the care of the widows and orphans to every person living on this earth. The Law provided for the material needs for orphans and widows who were to be fed from the third year’s tithe according to the Old Testament (Deut.14:28—29). The widows and orphans were to feed on from what were left from farm on the trees or ground (Deut. 24:19-21). The widows and the orphans were to be included in the worship service in the house of God (Deut.16:11, 14). In the New Testament James the brother of Jesus' is talking about the widows and orphans worshipping God with other believers of Christ Jesus (James 1:27).
