Serpico Good Cop Against Corrupt Cops

-
Image
Mich 7:3-13 God is Against Any kind of Corruption   What misery is mine!  I am like one who gathers summer fruit  at the gleaning of the vineyard; there is no cluster of grapes to eat,  none of the early figs that I crave.   The faithful have been swept from the land;      not one upright person remains.  Everyone lies in wait to shed blood;  they hunt each other with nets. 3  Both hands are skilled in doing evil; t he ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes,  the powerful dictate what they desire— they all conspire together.   The best of them is like a brier,  the most upright worse than a thorn hedge.  The day God visits you has come,   the day your watchmen sound the alarm.  Now is the time of your confusion.  Do not trust a neighbor;  put no confidence in a friend. Even with the woman who lies in your embrace  guard the words of your lips. For...

Stumbling Blocks

-
Image
I Pray that today we remove all stumbling blocks against one another :    For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God acknowledge Him to His honor and to His praise.    And so each of us shall give an account of himself [give an answer in reference to judgment] to God.  Then let us no more criticize and blame and pass judgment on one another, but rather decide and endeavor never to put a stumbling block or an obstacle or a hindrance in the way of a brother. (Romans 14:11-13 AMP) That no man put a stumbling block - Let both the converted Jew and Gentile consider that they should labor to promote each other's spiritual interests, and not be a means of hindering each other in their Christian course; or of causing them to abandon the Gospel, on which, and not on questions of rites and ceremonies, the salvation of their soul depends . http://clarke.biblecommenter.com/romans/14.htm Th...

-
Image
The Lord Jesus is thinking about you today and each moment of your life. Today the Lord God wants you to know HIM, He wants you to know you are special to HIM. God wants you to LOVE HIM and LOVE our Neighbors too, as God has LOVED you always from the beginning of time. May the Lord Jesus with the communion of the Holy Spirit of God be with you each moment, to give you understanding of His will. Dios es el Amor 1John 4:16 Teacher (Jesus), which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and...

The Kingdom of God is Within YOU!

Image
"The Kingdom of God"   Once Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, and he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed;    nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For, in fact, the kingdom  of God  is among you.” Then he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.     They will say to you, ‘Look there!’ or ‘Look here!’ Do not go, do not set off in pursuit.  For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.     But first he must endure much suffering and be rejected by this generation.    Just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man.  They were eating and drinking, and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day Noah e...

Both Jews and Gentiles Have Sinned

-
Image
No One Is Righteous 9  What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10  As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11       there is no one who understands;      there is no one who seeks God. 12  All have turned away,      they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good,      not even one.” 13  “Their throats are open graves;      their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.” 14       “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” 15  “Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16       ruin and misery mark their ways, 17  and the way of peace they do not know.” 18       “There i...

You Have Only One Father

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples,  “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.    So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach.      They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden. “Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels.    And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues.    They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi. “Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters.    And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is y...

It Is Time To Pray

-
Image
And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:  And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.  Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?   Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:   Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.   Let the priests, the ministers of the...

I Pray That You Will Give God All The Glory

Psalm 81 (God is Love 1John 4:16) SING ALOUD to God our Strength! Shout for joy to the God of Jacob! Raise a song, sound the timbrel, the sweet lyre with the harp. Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day. For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob. This He ordained in Joseph [the [a]savior] for a testimony when He went out over the land of Egypt. The speech of One Whom I knew not did I hear [saying],  I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the basket.  You called in distress and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you--O Israel, if you would listen to Me!  There shall no strange god be among you, neither shall you worship any alien god.   I am the Lord your God, Who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide and I w...

THE GOOD SHEPHERDESS

-
Image
The Shepherd and His Flock "I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.  The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep.  The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice.  He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."  Jesus used this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was telling them. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.  All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.  I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.  He will come in and go out, and find pasture. ...
