In the Old Testament (Holy Bible), Gods hand symbolizes two things. The first is discipling (Exod. 3:20, Job 30:21 and Ps. 32:4). The second is deliverance (Deut. 9:26 and Ezek. 20:34).   When we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, we willingly accept His discipline as being for our good and for His glory. Then we gratefully acknowledge His deliverance, which always comes in His time and in His way.
