Jesus Is The Living Water

Jesus knew the Pharisees had heard that he was baptizing and making more disciples than John  (though Jesus himself didn’t baptize them—his disciples did).  So he left Judea and returned to Galilee.  He had to go through Samaria on the way.  Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.  Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime.  Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.”  He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans.  She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.” ...

Happy Father's God Jesus said:    TAKE CARE not to do your good deeds publicly or before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward [reserved for and awaiting you] with and from your Father Who is in heaven.  Thus, whenever you give to the poor, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets like to do, that they may be recognized and honored and praised by men. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already.  But when you give to charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,      So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly.  Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by people. But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.” 2Timothy 2:19 NLT Some things will never change.  One of them is the solidity of the truth of God's Word.  It matters not who tries to distort and malign it;  its foundation is unshakable.  One of the reasons I am confident in the Word is that God's Word is not discerned by the head, but by the heart of man.  The hearts of men and women of God cannot be tampered with.  Something else that always remains the same is the truth that God is very clear about those who belong to Him.  He is not confused at all.  Who are they?  They are the ones who claim to be His by turning away from all wickedness, with godly sorrow and genuine repentance.   Any mother who has given birth and seen her baby for the first time will from then on recognize as a fraud and sub...
