In the Old Testament (Holy Bible), Gods hand symbolizes two things. The first is discipling (Exod. 3:20, Job 30:21 and Ps. 32:4). The second is deliverance (Deut. 9:26 and Ezek. 20:34).   When we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, we willingly accept His discipline as being for our good and for His glory.
